Alluri
Venkata Sathyanarayana Raju
familiarly known as A.V.S. Raju
left his village, Antervedipalem in East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh,
India, to make his fortune in Hyderabad. He started contributing his share
in developing the State in the areas of Industry, Infrastructure, Agriculture
and Power. In spite of his
hectic business schedules, he spared sufficient time for literary, cultural
and social activities. During
the year 1975, he took the lead in mobilizing funds from the farmers of
Andhra Region and made them invest in the industry successfully.
Last 45 years of his career, he has contributed in promoting many
industries around Hyderabad and various parts of Andhra Pradesh while
spreading the Construction activity in the country. [/size]


Member of many social and literary associations in the state and proved
himself as a Freelance writer. He
wrote more than 10,000 poems on various subjects including his two well
known books one on Sri Rama entitled “ Rama Rasamrutham
” and another one is on Bhagawan Sri Sri Sri Sathya
Sai Baba entitled “ Sri Sai Sudha Madhuri”.

Born on 18^th
April, 1937 Sri Alluri Venkata Satyanarayana Raju, familiarly known
as AVS Raju hails from a family that has been in the construction for
over three generations, had left his village after Matriculation
at the age of 18 years to make his career in hyderabad and started contributing
his share in developing the state in the areas of Industry, Infrastructure,
Agriculture and Power. Often referred to as the Doyen of Indian
Construction Industry Mr. AVS Raju has unshakable strength behind this
dynamic Company NCC Ltd. He is the visionary who foresaw a trailblazing
future in construction.



He
was the Secretary and Treasurer of Sri
Nagarjuna Cooperative Housing Society Limited in 1975
and presently is it's President.

He
was one of the promoters of M/s Nagarjuna Steels
Ltd ., during 1975-76, the first company of the present
popular Nagarjuna group of Companies in Hyderabad and Deccan Cements Ltd.,
during 1983-84 a successfuly and the first mini-cement plant in the country.

another one is on Bhagawan Sri Sri Sri Sathya Sai Baba entitled “
Sri Sai Sudha Madhuri”.



He
has received UGADI PURASKAR from Govt. of Andhra Pradesh, India
in 1998.

Developed along with Associates a Mega Horticulture farm with 100 varieties
of fruit bearing trees in an extent of 550 acres in Medak, East and West
Godavari Districts of A.P., along with other farmers.
